And it’s goodbye to Saigon…Hello Mui Ne
Hello beach buddies,
We are now in the beachy sunny Mui Ne, but before I get ahead of myself lets take a moment to say farewell to Saigon.
Last day in Saigon was magic, we went on a super-duper long walk (my legs still haven’t recovered) taking in the beautiful city.
We went to the Woman’s Museum, which is one of the best museums that we have seen, had a whole heap of stuff, on the first floor was mostly costumes and jewelery, and I was thinking great, women’s museum-clothes. Pffffffffft. Speaking of clothes later we went into this little mens clothing store far from anywhere touristy and the most lovely man told Sam he had good skin suitable for lots of colour combinations. And though Sam rejected the green and white paisley shirt, he did get a red checked one from the delightful gentlemen who also mentioned that Australians were fun (he may have meant funny).
Anyway totally wrong about the museum, the next 2 floors were amazing. The second floor was about war and women’s (very active) in it. Anyway totally cool.
Next after walking across the more sewage than water river, we arrived at a little market and got stared at constantly and not hassled a bit as we were the only westerners there.
On very tired legs we made it to Sa-Sa one of our fav restaurants and ordered pizza’s and said our goodbyes.
Tell you all about Mui Ne later as Sam and I are getting eaten alive!
xoxoxo
Rose
