Hanoi – the complete update
Well, I’ve been playing games all damn night and I’ve finally gotten the inspiration to write the blog post that I’m sure some of you have been gagging for.
Here it is, in a reasonably nutshell.
We arrived in Hanoi and was run over by it and mildly recoiled in horror at being back in the big hardcore city. The streets are skinner here and there are more cars, so more beeping and crazy.
We stayed at a hotel for the first 3 nights, then, because we’re so damn efficient, we’ve already found a place, and we’ve moved in today!
The place is a bit too expensive, but a cheaper apartment in this complex is coming available next month and we’ll be getting that. In the meantime, we’re staying in the most beautiful flat I think I’ve ever been in. It feels awesome. Here, take the guided tour from everyones favourite tour guide, Rose Newbury-Freeman! Hope you enjoyed the video. We’ve got solid internet connection here now, and a stable environ so skype will be on 24/7. So, for the love of Jesus H. Christ and his chicken basket, please install skype and chat to us cos as much as we want to talk to you all, it’s really expensive to buy phone credit to do so.

Awesome living space Slam. Had the Tasmanian in town this week and caught up with him, Buff, Steve, Chiam, Daniel and his missus for dinner. Lots of nice things said about you! On that basis, I’d stay away for a while cos its working.

You don’t seriously think I’d come to Vietnam to work and earn USD and have to clean my own apartment do you?
Someone comes up daily and cleans it for us and does our laundry 3 times a week.
You better play your cards right Ma, you can just BUY a mothering service over here ;)
The pressie isn’t being made, but I have to do stuff to it. It’s basically done, I just gotta do it and send it. We’ll get it done this week.
