Rose and Sam's Excellent Adventure

A big hello to all the people out there on the internets.

Well, Sam told me something very interesting the other day. You see he is always saying that I don’t post enough blah, blah, blah, and it turns out he is actually right! I have only posted 16 to his 117!  So I am rectifying the imbalance one post at a time.

So big news, big news, got a job last Friday at Just Kids, unsurprisingly I will be teaching kids, 3-5 year-olds during the week, and creative writing to 8-12 year-olds on Saturdays. Start date is middle of July.

So I was feeling pretty good, hanging out with the Lil and Sam, and BAM on Saturday morning (the day after getting the job) I get a call – can you come in NOW and teach a class RIGHT NOW, as in the class has started and there is NO teacher- so I say sure, thinking – what the hell am I going to do with a class of 3 year olds??!

The class was actually pretty fun, the school is really nice and the other teachers are friendly. Kids kept coming up to me trying to rub off my freckles, and stroke my hair, they are adorable and were constantly yelling out TEACHER at me.

Yesterday, Sam and I went into the school to observe some lessons, which was helpful, we watched a guy called Chris teach, really nice guy and good teacher.

Wish the boy luck because Sam starts teaching today!!
