Rose and Sam's Excellent Adventure

I sound my barbaric LOL over the rooftops of the world.

Little Ducks

Rainy day greetings to you all,

Hanoi appears to be slowly drowning, but Sam has ventured forth to perform the Noble task of teaching English to four year olds.

Finished my first official day today. It was Music in English, so lots of singing and dancing, let me share one with you as no one should be without a little song in their lives;

Butterfly, Butterfly, turn a-round

Butterfly Butterfly up and down

Butterfly, Butterfly wave your arms

Butterfly Butterfly sing with me.

So that’s the butterfly song.

Sam and I are starting to talk to each other like we are speaking to the kids, for example:

Sam: “Please turn off the light” (in a sing-song voice)

Rose: “Okay. I will turn off the light.”

Sam: “Do you know what time it is?”

Rose: “Yes. I know what time it is.”

This could become a problem.

I have this one girl in one of my Saturday classes – she’s about 5 – and she is very smart but not very good at forming the words, so when we sing, she sings very loudly, more like shouts and she looks for all the world like a drunk karaoke singer,  so hard not to laugh!

In more exciting news Sam and I are watching all the Harry Potter movies in preparation for film 6, out in just a couple of days! I am just hoping that they release it here in english and not just dubbed in Vietnamese, otherwise I fear it may lose some of its charm.

Well so long,

xoxoo Rose

You said you wouldn’t tell anyone that I was watching all the Harry Potter movies. Damnit woman. First you’re off gallivanting around town working and the like, while I’m stuck at home with a man cold, and now this.
